Being awarded as the second most competitive city by the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index or CMCI last year; Cagayan de Oro has really proven its worth of the award by continually growing and prospering in the economic dynamism, government efficiency and infrastructure. Even before receiving the said award, Cagayan de Oro City is already a progressive city with its numerous ventures.

Cagayan de Oro City has flourished its city by venturing into different subdivisions, malls and establishments. Recently, the city has also expanded its venture to high rise buildings; it started with Italpinas’ Primavera Residences then came Lim Ket Kai’s Luxe Hotel. Soon it will be followed by Centrio Tower where it’s already on full swing construction. Aspira Towers by Avida, Tuscania Towers by Land Resources Corporation and Riviera Hotel by Zealep are also on the list of upcoming skyscrapers here in Cagayan de Oro City. Aside from the high rise buildings, new malls and establishments are also set to open. Zealep’s Paseo Mall and SM Prime Holdings’ SM Premier are on its full swing construction and can be visited soon along Cagayan de Oro River and along CM Recto highway respectively. Renowned chain of convenience stores have also made its way in Cagayan de Oro. Mini stop was the first to open at Lifestyle District last February 7; Seven Eleven is about to open also at Cybermall, Vamenta Boulevard, Carmen.

The government continues to venture into different projects and activities that would promote the city to future investors. Cagayan de Oro aims to further develop its progressiveness and competitiveness by spreading endeavors to new heights; taking all possibilities and opportunities for the city to continually grow.
