The Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards or PAREB held its 18th Regional Conference last 25th and 26th of April at Lim Ket Kai Luxe Hotel with the theme of “Members in Focus: Gearing up for the 2015 ASEAN Integration”.
As a nation that was tagged to be the next rising tiger in Asia, Philippines is indeed the new hub for investors and businessmen. The country’s expenditures on health, education and social protection are scaling up. The infrastructure spending of the country is going up and becoming more strategic and efficient; a sign that Philippines is in a better position to utilize official development assistance from foreign development partners. With this, being a member of the Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN), Philippines is in sync with the goals of other countries that are members of the ASEAN. This ASEAN Integration is a way for Philippines together with the member-states to be able to work more closely when it comes to solving non-traditional security issues, as well as political-security and traditional security issues. The member-states will also find it easier to cooperate with one another and it is also expected that the economies will aggressively open up given the fact that barriers from trade will be eliminated. And when the goal of the ASEAN becoming a single market and production base will be achieved, economies will be liberalized.
The said conference was attended by Real Estate Brokers from Visayas and Mindanao. Guests from Luzon who were renowned professional brokers participated in the event also. The conference was a way for the brokers to see the great opportunities that awaits them in the real estate business. It also gave them an insight of what good it would bring for the country when this ASEAN Integration will become a success. Aside from the discussions of the good effect that the ASEAN Integration will bring; the brokers were given also tips and lessons about leadership and updates in the real estate industry.
The two day seminar was a success; building good relationship and camaraderie among brokers from different parts of the Philippines. The things learned by the brokers from the conference will surely be re-echoed to their respective agents and colleagues. Kudos to PAREB!
